DETAILED PROGRAM

DAY 1: DAKAR – NIOKOLO KOBA PARK GTEWAY (Wassadou) (About 510 km/08h)
Morning road through the savannah, predilection area of nomads. Stop at “Relais de Kaolack” hotel, along the river of Saloum for lunch. Continuation to Wassadou by Gambia River and accommodation at Wassadou Ecocamp on the edge of Niokolo Koba Park. Typical huts comfortably equipped in a natural environment. Dinner and overnight in Wassadou Ecocamp.

DAY 2 : WASSADOU – NIOKOLO KOBA PARK – WASSADOU (About 160km/02h30)
Earliy departure with a fauna expert guide for a full day safari in the park, looking for many species of animals: hyena, hippos, monkeys, antelopes, gazelles etc.…. Picnic lunch. Discovery of many plant species. Some of them are domestic or medicinal. Back to Wassadou, dinner and overnight in Wassadou Ecocamp.

DAY 3: NIOKOLO KOBA PARK – TAMBACOUNDA – KAOLACK (About 410km/6h30)
Morning boat trip along Gambia River to observe the fauna, flora and hippos (depending on the water levels) or visit of surrounding villages. Road to Tambacounda for lunch at “Relais de Tamba” hotel. Continuation to Kaolack City. Installation in «Relais de Kaolack» and relaxing by the pool. Dinner and overnight in Relais de Kaolack hotel.

DAY 4: KAOLACK – MBOUR – DAKAR (About 215km/3 h)
Road to Dakar or Saly with a stop at Blue Africa Hotel for the lunch. Leisure in one of the most beautiful beach of “Petite côte”. And transfer to Dakar or Saly.
