DETAILED PROGRAM
DAY 1: DAKAR – KAOLACK – TOUBACOUTA (About 248km/05h)
Departure to Delta of Saloum. Stop to Kaolack for lunch and continuation to one of the most beautiful region of Senegal, famous for birdwatching and mangrove landscapes. Accommodation at Keur Saloum hotel, visit of Toubacouta village. Dinner and overnight in Keur Saloum hotel
DAY 2: TOUBACOUTA – KEUR BAMBOUNG (About 25 mns pirogue)
Morning boat trip through the mangrove to join Sipo Island. Visit of the village and meeting with the local queen. Continuation to Keur Bamboung Ecolodge, installation and lunch. Free stay with various activities: ecological path, mangroves discovery, birds watching, hiking with a local guide, canoe Kayak etc… Dinner and overnight in Keur Bamboung Ecolodge.
DAY 3: KEUR BAMBOUNG – TOUBACOUTA (About 25 mns dugout)
Full day in the deep nature, discovery of the Marine Protected Area of Keur Bamboung: ecological path, mangroves discovery, birds watching, hiking with a local guide, canoe, kayak etc.…After lunch, boat to Toubacouta. Dinner and overnight in hotel Keur Saloum.
DAY 4: TOUBACOUTA – FATHALA RESERVE – DAKAR (About 290km/5h30)
Early departure to Fathala Reserve. famous for its “ lions walk ”, an unique and memorable experience accompanied by professional guides in a protected forest of 6000 hectares. Road to Kaolack and lunch in Relais de Kaolack hotel. Road back to Dakar.
